It's now all official....River Rats are off to Boracay in April 2012.....how exciting !!!   We met with Sue from Travel Scene last week to make some definite arrangements. We are obliged to make a commitment this far ahead to enable us to grab this very cheap rate that she has offered us..... Details as follows

Sydney / Manila / Boracay      Monday 23rd April 2012

23rd 24th 25th at your leisure on the island

26th Practice Session

27th / 28th Regatta Race days

Boracay / Manila    Sunday 29th

Manila / Sydney      Tuesday 1st May

To take advantage of the Group booking rate , we must all travel together on the forward journey . You can make your on arrangements on the return journey if you wish, providing you leave from Manila within 14 days from leaving Sydney. So you can stay in Boracay or Manila longer or travel somewhere else & pay the extra.



At this stage, our quote is for 25 people & as previously stated around $1800, which includes flights accommodation & all transfers to & from wherever. This is based on 2011 Air fares , 2012 not known at this stage.

Friends & family are all welcome to join us....the more we have the cheaper the rate.....But we must commit now or they will have to make their own arrangements.

We are required to pay 50% of our accommodation very soon. I will let you know how much when the travel agent confirms the booking.

Don't forget you need a passport.

June 13th

Next year, April 2012 our Club is organising an overseas trip to take part in a Regatta at Boracay in the Philippines.

Date of the regatta is 26 - 28th April 2012.

We have had a quote prepared for us for a group booking of 25 people for 10 days

We have to fly in & out of Manila, with a flight & boat trip to & from Boracay.

The quote at present is approx. $1800 which includes all flights, 7nights accommodation at Red Coconut Beach Hotel Boracay, including breakfast daily...3 nights accommodation in Manila. All transfers to & from airports to hotels etc included.

This is not limited just to paddlers, you can bring friends along. The quote is for 2011 rates , so may be a little more with 2012 rates but could be less with more than 25 people.
